On Fridays, students will use 15 minutes of class time to reflect on their week or record random thoughts in their daybooks. It doesn't matter how much you write, as long as you write consecutively for 15 minutes.
Use these simple rules and journaling will not only be fun and freeing, but it will become a part of your daily life.
1) Keep it Simple
2) Keep it Private
3) Do it Frequently
4) Banish the Grammar Police
5) Write What You Know
6) Write for quantity, not quality
7) Try Writing by Hand
8) Keep the Stakes Low
9) Enjoy yourself!
Please see the attached for "How to Journal" for further explanation.
